HID Global to unveil web-based access control system at Intersec

Security MEA speaks with Wisam Yaghmour, Regional Sales Director at HID Global about their participation at Intersec this year.

What motivated your organization to participate at Intersec?

Intersec is an important platform that hosts the industry’s leading vendors and providers or security systems, and showcases the latest technologies in physical security and safety. It helps us specifically showcase our physical access security solutions to end-users and the partner community.

Are you participating directly or with any of your partners?

HID Global will participating directly with a dedicated stand at the event.

What do expect to achieve with this participation? What can visitors expect from you and why should they visit your stand?

Intersec is perhaps the only show in the region that specifically addresses physical security and safety technologies. We have the opportunity to showcase how organisations can achieve an enhanced user experience, greater convenience and a wide choice of applications and mobile devices for your employees and visitors. We hope to provide visitors with a better understanding of how our technology works and can fit in with their existing infrastructure. We also expect to meet new customers as well existing customer that wish to upgrade their current systems.

How many times have you participated earlier at Intersec and what has been your experience in previous shows?

HID Global has been a regular participant at the show for more than 5 years now. We have had a good experience from our participation, and have converted a number of visitors into our customers.

Will you be launching any new product during Intersec or which products will you be showcasing during the show? Please share the details.

This year we will be launching a new web-based access control system for small business owners seeking to meet today’s need for increased building security. In addition, we will be showcasing the HID Location Service for workplace optimization, Identification and sensing technologies, high-definition printing service, iClass SE reader modules, and SEOS Technology.

Will you be scouting for new partners during the event or you will be focused only on end-users?

HID Global currently has a good partner network and channel community, however, we are always on the look-out for promising and competent partners who can help us crack new market verticals and customers across the region. As always, we look to engage with end-users at the show as well, and demonstrate how our solutions can help them address the challenges they face with their access control and identity management.
