Moro Hub to display solutions under Digital DEWA’s Smart Cities Experience platform at GITEX

What does your company do, and why is it important for you to be exhibiting at GITEX 2021?
As part of Dubai 10X, DEWA mobilised its innovation unit to create a new entity called Digital DEWA, which uses innovation in artificial intelligence and digital services to meet the current and future requirements of the 4th industrial revolution. This entity required an innovative, agile data hub, thus and forming the backbone of Digital DEWA; Moro Hub was established in 2018.  to fulfil the need for an innovative and agile data centre. Through its purpose-built, industry-accredited data hub, Moro Hub uses its expertise, capabilities and alliances to contribute to the digital transformation of society. Trusted to secure, manage, and integrate data, Moro Hub is committed to providing value through customer-centric innovation, creating new opportunities for our customers in the region now and in the future.

What products or solutions will you be exhibiting throughout the weeklong technology show?
Moro Hub will display solutions under Digital DEWA’s Smart Cities Experience platform. These include Green Data Centre and IoT use cases focusing on Smoke Detection, Energy Management, Cold Chain, Smart Water and Air Quality Monitoring, Moro IoT platform, and many more. In addition, we will also display Cyber Security – 24/7 security monitoring and incident response service from our state-of-the-art Cyber Defense Centre and unlock visibility across OT, IoT and IT for accelerated security and digital transformation. We will also feature live demos on OT/IoT Security Services, Cloud Security & IAM, Cyber Advanced Services, Security Technology Services, Cyber Exposure Analysis and more.

Which are the major cybersecurity trends influencing the Middle East?

  1. Another vital trend making its mark in cybersecurity is using artificial intelligence to build automated security systems to analyse risk at a much faster pace.
  2. Lastly, implementing security automation and real-time data visibility within organisations is gaining traction. It strengthens companies’ ability to mitigate data theft and breaches and heightens operational efficiency and overall resilience to cybersecurity threats.

How do your offerings enable organisations to enhance their cybersecurity preparedness in the new normal?
We provide complete managed services for security management, incident response, forensics analysis, threat hunting, and remediation service from our state-of-the-art Cyber Defence Centre part of the Smart Cities Command and Control Centre that contributes to detecting and protecting networks from unwanted traffic and dangerous code and intrusion attempts. In addition, Moro Hub’s dedicated Cyber Defence Centre executes a defence in depth approach across networks, providing 24/7 security, threats monitoring, and incident response from our Security Operations Centre (SOC).

At Moro Hub, we ensure that we classify sensitive data for our clients. Our staff is well trained to lock all workstations and devices when not in use to safeguard sensitive components where the data is stored. As a global digital hub, our tools and solutions are developed to implement multi-factor authentication across the organisation and add additional security to the systems we use, thereby ensuring that all our client’s data always remains safe and secure.

What special engagements or events are you planning to network and entertain with your partners and customers besides meeting them at GITEX Technology Week?
We have several activities planned for GITEX, including virtual and hybrid events. While most of them are under embargo, we will reveal these details closer to the day.

What does your company hope to achieve at the end of the show?
GITEX is one of the most important technology events in the world. This year the mega show takes place right after the grand opening of Expo, which will see a robust exchange of insights and ideas from companies worldwide. We are excited to bring our innovative solutions to this global platform, reinforcing our digital transformation capabilities to a bigger and larger audience.
