SecurityMEA speaks with Stephen Jones, Surveillance Sales Engineer at Seagate about their participation at Intersec this year.
What motivated your organization to participate at Intersec?
With data being created on a scale never seen before and cities becoming increasingly intelligence-driven, not to mention incorporating IoT solutions, we consider Intersec, the region’s premier security event, to be the ideal platform where we can meet our valued customers and partners, as well as showcase our array of industry-leading surveillance storage solutions. Furthermore, Intersec also enables us to keep abreast of both industry and regional trends and developments, and network with industry players from around the world.
Are you participating directly or with any of your partners?
We have had a presence at Intersec in previous years through our valued partners. For the 2018 edition of the event, we will have our own booth for the very first time and will also participate through our partners Hikvision and Dahua as well.
What do you expect to achieve with this participation?
As a knowledge-sharing platform, Intersec allows us to keep a finger on the pulse of the region.
The UAE is witnessing many exciting developments at the moment and we think that there could not be a more exciting time to showcase our products to valued customers in the region.
Will you be launching any new product during Intersec, or which products will you be showcasing during the show?
At Intersec this year, in addition to exhibiting our industry-leading surveillance storage technologies, there will also be demonstrations of the SkyHawk, SkyHawk AI and Exos X12 products and solutions from our valued partners Hikvision and Dahua.
What can expect visitors from you and why should they visit your stand?
Visitors to our stand at Intersec can expect to see some of the industry’s leading surveillance storage solutions, geared towards the demands of the latest technologies – including the industry-first, AI-enabled SkyHawk AI. Furthermore, I will also be speaking at the conference, sharing valuable insights on surveillance trends from our Data Age 2025 study – conducted in collaboration with IDC – the technologies driving data growth, and the impact on modern storage requirements.
