ESET researchers have identified an updated version of the Android-based GravityRAT spyware being distributed as the messaging apps BingeChat and Chatico. GravityRAT is a remote access tool previously used in targeted attacks against users in India. Windows, Android, and macOS versions are available.
ESET researchers have discovered a trojanized Android app named iRecorder – Screen Recorder. It was available on Google Play as a legitimate app in September 2021, with malicious functionality most likely added in August 2022. During its existence, the app was installed on more than 50,000 devices.
ESET researchers recently identified a new version of the Android malware FurBall being used in a Domestic Kitten campaign conducted by the APT-C-50 group. The Domestic Kitten campaign is known to conduct mobile surveillance operations against Iranian citizens, and this new FurBall version
