Check Point announced that it has significantly expanded its collaboration with OpenAI through the Daybreak cyber defense initiative, deepening the integration of frontier AI models across its security platform.
The company confirmed that OpenAI’s advanced cyber reasoning capabilities are now being incorporated into multiple Check Point products and workflows via the Daybreak Defense Network, marking a major step in operationalizing frontier AI for enterprise cyber defense. This development follows Check Point’s recent decision to join more than one hundred global technology and security companies in supporting OpenAI’s call for a coordinated surge in worldwide cyber defense.
According to Check Point, the partnership is designed to help organizations stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated attacks by embedding frontier AI directly into the security lifecycle. By combining OpenAI’s cyber reasoning with Check Point’s intelligence, context and enforcement, the company aims to help customers move from large volumes of raw security data to validated risk, actionable decisions and accelerated protection.
The integration spans several core areas. In exposure management, Check Point is piloting OpenAI’s frontier models within its Agentic Exposure Validation pipeline to distinguish real, exploitable risk from theoretical findings and speed remediation. In network security, the company is enhancing Keystone—its autonomous, intent-driven security management system—by using frontier AI to analyze potential attack paths, understand vulnerabilities and determine how controls should adapt.
The Autonomous Workspace Platform is also being upgraded with advanced cyber reasoning to investigate complex threats across email, endpoint, mobile and browser telemetry, reducing analyst workload and improving verdict clarity. Meanwhile, NexPloit is leveraging frontier AI to accelerate vulnerability research and generate verified attack material that drives faster protection against newly disclosed flaws.
Jonathan Zanger, Chief Technology Officer at Check Point, underscored the significance of the collaboration, stating: “Frontier AI gives defenders a new advantage — the ability to understand risk, validate threats and act at a speed that matches modern attackers.”
Check Point emphasized that these capabilities are being rolled out in phases, with strict governance over model visibility, actions and verification. The company’s goal is to translate frontier AI advances into trusted, enterprise-grade security outcomes while helping customers adopt and use OpenAI technologies securely.
