Help AG has launched Cyber Edge X, a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering that helps organizations redefine their perimeter security in the cloud.
Cyber Edge X unifies networking and security services in a cloud-delivered architecture to protect users, applications, and data everywhere from cyber threats. Clients can now embrace Cyber Edge X to build their entire organization’s perimeter defense in the cloud, no matter where the end-users are located.
Commenting on the launch, Stephan Berner, Chief Executive Officer at Help AG, said: “As global trends shift towards cloud-based services and we see more and more people working remotely, it is no longer a given that all of an organization’s users and applications are situated within a corporate network. As a result, today’s security measures can’t rely on conventional hardware appliances at the network edge.”
In response to these trends, Cyber Edge X promises to deliver the necessary networking and security as a cloud-delivered service, encompassing a range of cloud-native microservices in a single platform architecture.
Cyber Edge X serves to simplify network security with the unification of perimeter security products like Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP and FWaaS delivered with a one console, one agent approach, as well as unified threat protection through one single threat dashboard with advanced analytics delivering features like UEBA and ATP across all of the network’s perimeter controls.
Implementing network security with Cyber Edge X delivers a wide range of benefits. It offers enhanced flexibility, allowing for direct-to-net or direct-to-cloud access from anywhere, as opposed to traditional hair-pinning back to the data center. Fully cloud-delivered with flexible payment options, Cyber Edge X also increases cost savings by eliminating CapEx for on-premises infrastructure and providing lower, predictable OpEx due to its Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
As a cloud-based service, Cyber Edge X provides a global footprint of nodes, with the existence of a service edge locally, to provide best-in-class service to customers. Instead of a location, IP, or user-centric approach, the service adopts a data-centric approach, protecting data everywhere it goes.
