CrediMax Adopts eKey 2.0 to Strengthen Digital Identity Verification

CrediMax, Bahrain’s leading electronic payments provider, has integrated eKey 2.0, the Kingdom’s national Digital Identity Authentication platform, into its CrediMax Digital app to deliver a faster, more secure and trusted verification experience for customers. The platform, developed by Beyon Connect in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), enables users to authenticate their identity seamlessly across selected services that require verification.

The upgrade supports CrediMax’s ongoing commitment to Bahrain’s national digital transformation agenda and strengthens the Kingdom’s digital financial services ecosystem by reducing manual steps, improving service completion speed, and maintaining high standards of privacy and data protection.

Nada Mohamed A. Rahman, Chief Technology and Transformation Officer at CrediMax, said the goal is to simplify digital interactions without compromising security. “By introducing eKey 2.0 through CrediMax Digital, we are giving users a trusted verification option that supports faster access to services and a more seamless digital experience.”

Beyon Connect CEO Richard Budel welcomed CrediMax to the growing ecosystem of organisations adopting the national digital identity platform, noting that eKey 2.0 enables “faster, more secure and trusted digital experiences.”

Dr. Khalid Almutawah, Deputy Chief Executive of Operations & Governance at iGA, said CrediMax’s adoption marks another milestone in expanding Digital Authentication of National Identity solutions across the private sector, reinforcing Bahrain’s integrated and secure digital ecosystem.
