Acronis and Intel have announced the availability of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud on artificial intelligence (AI)-powered PCs with Intel Core Ultra processors. This new collaboration delivers advanced, automated threat detection and remediation to endpoint devices without compromising performance. By integrating Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel technology, managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), and enterprise customers can now enjoy faster, more effective cybersecurity, ideal for users with limited resources.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud uses AI to detect and neutralize threats in real time on endpoints by analyzing behavioral models that identify advanced attacks that traditional tools might miss, such as ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware. On devices with Intel Core Ultra processors, the solution becomes even more effective by leveraging OpenVINO to offload AI-intensive tasks, such as behavioral heuristics and anomaly scoring, to the processor’s NPU. Offloading AI-based behavioral detection from the CPU to the NPU on Intel Core Ultra processors reduces CPU load by up to 92%, based on internal performance testing . This optimizes performance, extends battery life, and keeps systems running uninterrupted.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an award-winning, multi-tenant SaaS platform that offers best-in-class cyberthreat protection features: next-generation antimalware, email security, data loss prevention (DLP), and extended endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR). Security professionals using Acronis spend less time managing multiple tools thanks to its natively integrated solution, which combines cybersecurity, endpoint and security posture management, data protection, automated backup, and disaster recovery. Acronis also seamlessly aligns with NIST cybersecurity capabilities, enabling users to not only protect against, identify, and detect cyberthreats, but also respond to and recover affected systems and data more effectively.
“Cyber protection must be natively integrated and powered by AI to address modern cyberthreats,” said Gaidar Magdanurov, President of Acronis. “Our collaboration with Intel enables MSPs and enterprise IT departments to deliver real-time endpoint security with minimal impact on system performance, while maintaining user productivity at all times. As a result of this close collaboration with Intel, security is no longer a headache for both users and IT administrators.”
“Thanks to the Intel and Acronis partnership, we’re delivering powerful, AI-powered security features right to every device,” said Carla Rodriguez, vice president and general manager of Client Software Enabling at Intel. “By running complex security tasks on a PC powered by AI and Intel Core Ultra processors, we’re enabling partners like Acronis to deliver breakthrough protection with lower latency, improved performance, and enhanced privacy.”
Traditional anti-malware solutions often struggle to detect modern threats and can consume significant system resources, leading to slowdowns, increased support tickets, and lost productivity. Furthermore, fragmented security solutions place additional burden on already overworked IT teams while increasing operational complexity. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud solves this problem with natively integrated cyber protection that minimizes the impact on system performance. And with Intel technology, it works even more effectively.
