Uday Shankar Kizhepat, Vice President and General Manager- Middle East and Africa, WSO2, talks about their identity as a service (IDaaS) solution that will be demonstrated in GITEX 2022.
What are the plans for you to be part of GITEX GLOBAL this year and why is it important for you to be part of the week long show?
Gitex is the region’s leading technology trade event where the world’s technology leaders, enterprises and startups come together to witness and showcase the best in IT technology.
We see GITEX as a key trade show in our annual events calendar for the region and have been a regular participant. As with previous editions, WSO2 will have a dedicated stand (CC2-3), wherein we intend to showcase our industry leading products that enable our customers to drive digital transformation within their organisations & outside as well as creating a ‘wow’ user experience.
Our participation is centred around three key objectives. First is relationship building as we will leverage our presence to meet and engage with the many customers, partners and prospects who will attend. Second, it offers us the opportunity to highlight the latest advancements in our solutions and service portfolio. And third, we will use this event to further demonstrate our commitment to the Middle East market, which remains a key region for WSO2. Our interactions with the attendees will help us develop a deeper understanding of the digital goals and challenges faced by Middle East businesses, which in turn helps us design and deliver solutions tailored to address their needs.
Please highlight the products and solutions that you will be showcasing at the GITEX?
At GITEX, we will be showcasing our latest software as a service (SaaS) offerings, that include our identity as a service (IDaaS) solution, Asagrdeo, and our digital platform as a service, Choreo. By removing the complexity of cloud native infrastructure, our solutions allow customers to focus on faster innovation and the delivery of new digital experiences.
We will also demonstrate our key software offerings, including WSO2 API Manager, our complete platform for building and integrating your business capabilities as managed APIs, and WSO2 Identity Server for customer identity and access management (CIAM). Together, they form what we call the “digital core.” Both solutions can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid architectures offering the much needed flexibility to our customers.
How does your offerings enable organisations to enhance their cybersecurity preparedness in the new normal?
The Business Research Company analysed the global customer identity and access management (CIAM) market, which is expected to be worth approximately $45.5 billion by 2025. This growth is largely attributable to the proliferation of smartphones, wearables technology, home appliances, and other sensors.
WSO2 Identity Server, which is part of WSO2’s CIAM suite, is the market’s leading open source CIAM solution. It provides modern identity and access management capabilities that can be easily built into your organisation’s customer experience (CX) applications or deployed to fulfil workforce IAM requirements. Designed for developers, by developers, WSO2 Identity Server offers an open, API-driven architecture alongside a broad set of developer tools. Its impressive extensibility, scalability, and dedicated community make it the ideal choice for the identity development needs of organisations.
What message would you like to give to the customers visiting the show and why should they meet you?
Customers in the Middle East are investing heavily in digital technologies, and with the arrival of hyperscalers in the region, serverless technologies and containerisation are on the rise. Customers today have high expectations of business in terms of their digital journey, and at WSO2, we are committed to ensuring they get what they need.
WSO2 gives customers the flexibility to use products in the public cloud, private cloud, hybrid, and on-premises models. Our products are designed and built for the cloud, with a focus on cloud-native features such as serveless and container technologies.
What are your expectation from this year’s GITEX?
The 2022 edition of GITEX is expected to be well-attended, as business in the region is on the rise again following a successful recovery from the pandemic. Business models in the region have changed at a rapid pace. To ensure business continuity, organisations were forced to use remote working tools and other collaboration platforms. Meanwhile, the growth of e-commerce and other online channels has prompted organisations to seek out new technologies that provide rich digital experiences to customers, consumers, and partners.
Every company has a software company that builds products. Creating unique digital experiences has become the only way to differentiate, and every CXO has started facing this challenge. Given this need and WSO2’s unique ability to meet it, we anticipate a very successful GITEX GLOBAL 2022.
Where can we find you at GITEX? (booth no and hall no)
