What are the plans for you to be part of GITEX GLOBAL this year and why is it important for you to be part of the week long show?
At Barracuda, we see GITEX as a must attend event which signals our deep commitment to our customers and partners in the region. We intend to have our top regional executives from across the region fly in to be present and available for engagements with attendees. From a team building and company culture perspective too GITEX proves invaluable.
Please highlight the products and solutions that you will be showcasing at the GITEX?
Over the last year we introduced several innovative solutions, and last month we added new capabilities that further strengthen protection against persistent and evolving threats like ransomware. They also help customers solve complex digital business transformation challenges in the areas of Email Protection, Zero Trust Access, Managed XDR, and Data Protection.
GITEX will offer us the opportunity to showcase the latest solutions and provide comprehensive overviews of how they can help regional enterprises achieve their digital ambitions in a safe and secure manner.
How does your offering enable organisations to enhance their cybersecurity preparedness in the new normal?
The key challenges CISOs face with security solutions – complexity, cost, management overheads and the negative impact they could potentially have on end user experience and productivity – are all avoidable. This was the premise on which Barracuda was started as our mission was to make robust email-security available to all businesses. We have since expanded on this and today, our mission is to protect and support our customers for life. In line with this, Barracuda provides over 200,000 customers with easy, comprehensive, and affordable solutions for email protection, application and cloud security, network security and data protection.
What message would you like to give to the customers visiting the show and why should they meet you?
At GITEX, we will showcase the breadth of our product portfolio, from email security and web application firewalls to cloud backup and network security. While these solutions enable businesses to effectively protect against a wide range of cyber-attacks, the common feature they all share is their simplicity and effectiveness.
As cyberthreats grow in sophistication, and as IT environments become increasingly complex, it is this message of simplicity that we have found resonates strongly with our customers and prospects. At GITEX, we intend to inform attendees about how our solutions deliver the advanced functionality they need to defend against modern threats, while keeping usability at their core.
What are your expectations from this year’s GITEX?
Large trade shows such as GITEX Relationship building is the primary objective of our participation at GITEX. Over the last two years, we have invested in significantly expanding our regional team. However, due to travel restrictions and other logistical challenges, there haven’t been other opportunities for a large number of our regional team to be present in a single location. GITEX affords us this unique opportunity and we will have key members of our executive team, as well as several regional sales, pre-sales, and technical professionals present.
This enables us to not only build a cohesive company culture, but also have invaluable face time with our customers and partners. The show also affords us the opportunity to demonstrate the latest updates to our solution portfolio. We are eager to engage with all stakeholders to get a deeper understanding of the latest market requirements and developments. In the end, what we hope to accomplish is meaningful engagements that enable us to collaborate with a wider number of customers and partners.
