UAE’s National Bank of Umm Al- Qaiwain (NBQ) today announced that it has achieved the compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which aims to secure card transactions against data theft and fraud.
The bank has attained the PCI DSS certification through an independent assessment by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) – SISA. The PCI DSS certification is one of the most strict and comprehensive payment security certification standards in the world which has now been achieved by NBQ.
“Privacy protection and payment security are among the key areas that NBQ attach great importance to. PCI DSS certification represents an important milestone for payment security in our core operations,” said Adnan Al Awadhi, CEO, National Bank of Umm Al-Qaiwain.
“We want to build a highly secured banking systems to ensure our customers—who trust us with sensitive business information—have their data secured,” Al Awadhi added.
Attaining PCI DSS compliance is NBQ’s latest effort to strengthen customer trust and demonstrate its commitment to privacy and information security.
