MoU between Bahrain and UAE signed to promote cooperation in cyberspace and fight against cybercrimes

In the sideline of the 38th meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Interior Ministers held in Bahrain, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and His Highness the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt- General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The MoU aims to promote cooperation between the two countries in cyberspace and the fight against cybercrimes. Per the agreement, there will be an exchange of related information, training and expertise.

HE Interior Minister hailed the brotherly ties between the two countries and mutual dedication to promote security cooperation. Furthermore, he expressed appreciation for the honourable stand of the UAE toward Bahrain.

He said that the MoU is a turning point in the security cooperation and coordination between the two countries out of the brotherhood spirit and shared goals to promote technical cooperation in cyberspace and the fight against cybercrimes.

HH the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, asserted the historical and distinguished ties between the two countries and wished the best to Bahrain and its leadership, government and people.
