What does your company do and why is it important for you to be exhibiting at GITEX 2021?
HID powers the trusted identities of the world’s people, places and things. We make it possible for people to transact safely, work productively, and travel freely. Every day millions of people in more than 100 countries use our products and services to securely access physical and digital places.
GITEX Technology Week is a valuable show that allows HID to connect with partners, customers, and end-users in the Dubai area and beyond. This year, we look forward to reconnecting with thought leaders and influencers in the industry while highlighting our solutions that secure access to physical and digital resources, as well as streamlining card issuance and personalization.
What products or solutions will you be exhibiting throughout the weeklong technology show?
We will be showcasing wide range of our Secure Issuance and Identity Authentication Management Solutions at the weeklong technology show.
Which are the major cybersecurity trends influencing the Middle East?
The Covid-19 pandemic forced most organizations to shift their workforces to remote work. A high proportion of the workforce will continue to work remotely. Remote working personnel are at risks with cybercriminals adapting their tactics to take advantage. Ransomware is one of the most common threats to any organization and it continue to increase. Data breach on cloud services as the necessity for cloud-based services and infrastructure increased drastically. Remote workers are easy targets for phishing attacks.
How does your offerings enable organisations to enhance their cybersecurity preparedness in the new normal?
Access control plays a critical role in creating a safe back-to-work strategy. Organizations can leverage contactless physical access technologies — including mobile credentials along with Bluetooth solutions — as well as implement location services and visitor management tools to provide employees with an experience that supports a healthy and safe work environment.
What does your company hope to achieve at the end of the show?
Our main objectives are to reconnect with our partners and end-users, as well as highlight relevant security and identity management technologies. We are also excited to receive feedback from users of our solutions and learn more about new technologies and industry trends.
Where can we find you at GITEX?
HID Global will be there at Hall no 5-A15.
