Ooredoo Telecom, the first to introduce innovative digital services in Kuwait, has entered a reseller agreement with BT, a leading provider of global communications services and solutions. The scope of services includes managed connectivity and voice services, collaboration and contact centre solutions, as well as cloud-based security services and consultancy.
Due to the rapid development of the cyber threat landscape, the tremendous growth in remote workers and the acceleration of the adoption of cloud services, security has become one of the key priorities for businesses and governments.
BT’s cloud-based Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) service combines the leading technologies with BT’s unparalleled track record in securing leading global organizations. The service collates and analyzes the vast amounts of threat information available, providing customers with real-time insight on their network, and actionable intelligence that increases their protection.
The partnership was announced at a signing ceremony held at Ooredoo Kuwait’s Headquarters and witnessed by MP James Cleverly – Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO); Belinda Lewis – Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait; Shikha Tiwari – Director of Trade and Investment, Abdulaziz Yaqoub Al-Babtain – Chief Executive Officer at Ooredoo Kuwait; Dave Disley – Global Telecommunications Director; Fadi Kawar – Chief Operating Officer at Ooredoo Kuwait; Chief Finance Officer Stephen Collins, Mijbil Alayoub – Senior Director, Corporate Communications; Nazem Al-Ghabra – Manager, Corporate Relations; Bilal Agha – Director, B2B Marketing; Arz Naim- Head of B2B Sales, and Zainab Al-Shammari – Manager, B2B Marketing, Ooredoo Kuwait.

Through partnership with BT, Ooredoo will help organizations achieve not only best-in-class visibility, detection and remediation of threats and incidents, but also the ability to do so rapidly and flexibly.
With a subscription-based model that requires no capital investment, and BT’s accredited security team providing 24×7 monitoring and in-life support, customers are able to increase flexibility in their operations and predictability of costs. The newly available SIEM service meets local regulatory and compliance requirements by hosting and processing data locally.
