Guardicore ropes in CyberArk’s Nick Baglin to head EMEA sales

Guardicore announced the appointment of Nick Baglin as VP of EMEA Sales. Baglin’s long-established success in driving international market growth further accelerates Guardicore’s hypergrowth on a global scale and expands the company’s ability to secure leading enterprises and data centers in the EMEA region against advanced threats.

“EMEA presents a tremendous opportunity for Guardicore to continue to replace legacy firewall solutions with technology that is purpose-built for protecting critical assets in today’s dynamic threat landscape,” said Ofer Wolf, COO, Guardicore. “The region has shown a strong appetite for solutions that can establish Zero Trust architectures to directly address the increased dangers of sophisticated attacks such as ransomware and cybercriminals’ lateral movement in complex cloud and distributed environments. We are excited to have Nick join the team and look forward to leveraging his impressive experience to expand our global footprint.”

Baglin brings more than 20 years of experience in IT and security to Guardicore, spending six years as VP of EMEA Sales at publicly traded CyberArk, among other leadership positions. Baglin joined CyberArk to lead EMEA growth. During his tenure, he grew headcount 10X and significantly expanded the company’s regional presence through a strategic channel-focused approach.

Baglin looks to replicate this success at Guardicore through the channel and direct enterprise sales. He will focus on strengthening existing teams in France, Germany and the UK, while adding resources to key markets including Italy, the Nordics and Middle East. Baglin’s efforts will accelerate Guardicore’s impressive traction in EMEA, where five of the top European banks, major telco providers and additional organizations have replaced legacy firewalls with Guardicore’s software-based segmentation solution to visualize and segment their internal applications.

Over the past 12 months on a global scale, Guardicore’s ability to provide complete visibility and allow organizations to apply granular security controls amid ongoing cloud transformations has enabled the company to more than double its revenue. During this time of rapid customer growth, Guardicore has maintained a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 75, which is significantly above SaaS and cybersecurity industry standards.

“What makes joining Guardicore so exciting is the opportunity to challenge legacy markets and deliver a solution that is already experiencing tremendous demand from organizations looking for a more effective way to secure modern environments,” said Baglin. “This, combined with the company’s amazing culture and talented workforce, made joining Guardicore an easy decision.”
