Due to the global pandemic, the past year has been filled with monumental changes and shifts in every aspect of our lives and witnessed increase in the use of technology. A large part of Cybertech will thus be dedicated to cybersecurity challenges, strategies, and repercussions in a wide range of sectors and disciplines such as fintech, retail, insurance, aviation, economics, and politics.
Deep technologies such as blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, quantum technology, and hardware security have far-reaching implications for the cyber industry and contain vital cybersecurity threats. Experts predict that 2021 will be another year of significant transition and rising threats, with attacks not only growing in frequency, but becoming increasingly organization-wide and highly impactful.
The forum will also host two special executive events on Aviation and Maritime with industry and government leaders from the UAE, Israel, Europe, USA, and other countries. These events will be the first of their kind with these decision makers sitting around the same table, including participation from the DP World, the Israel National Cyber Directorate, FAA, EuroControl, Emirati Airlines, Israel Shipyards, and others.
“Cybersecurity will continue to play an integral role in managing the current global crisis. From 5G networks, work from home, to augmented analytics to digital ethics, cyber is omnipresent. While for many years, cybersecurity awareness was not encouraged, organizations of all sizes now understand that they have no choice but to secure their business. Recent events have shown us the severity of these attacks and the impact they can have on individual security as well,” says Amir Rapaport, founder and editor-in-chief of Cybertech.
