Digital14 and Malaffi, the Abu Dhabi Health Information Exchange, have inked a deal to provide cybersecurity services for the digital platform.
As part of the strategic priorities of the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, Malaffi is a key component of the digital transformation of the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi.
Malaffi has entrusted Digital14 with a host of cyber resilience services, including vulnerability management, application monitoring, and long-term security log retention.
“As the first Health Information Exchange in the Middle East, it is prudent that our digital assets, which includes patient health information, be protected in line with international norms,” said Atif Al Braiki, Chief Executive Officer of Malaffi. “We found a reliable and trusted partner in Digital14, and owing to their flexible approach, they were able to uniquely tailor services to fit our requirements, which includes a 24×7 monitoring and incident response service provided from their Cybersecurity Operations Center, in addition to other solutions.”
Commenting on the partnership, Elham Al Qasim, Digital14’s Chief Executive Officer said, “As a vital digital transformation initiative from the Abu Dhabi government, Malaffi will have positive ramifications on the capital’s residents for years to come. As such, we are honoured not only with being tasked with unlocking Malaffi’s full potential, but also in contributing to the overall digital strategy of the Emirate.”
