ResiDex software has suffered a ransomware attack, impacting its IT systems and server infrastructure. The company subsequently launched an investigation which did not identify any personal information and/or protected health information being compromised.
However, there are fears that a unauthorized access to ResiDex’s software might have resulted in the compromise of personal information including names, social security numbers and protected health information including medical records that existed in the software.
“ResiDex and the Facilities understand the importance of protecting the protected health information and personal information maintained on its systems and deeply regrets any concern that this may have caused the potentially impacted individuals,” ResiDex said, DataBreaches.net reported.
