The Gulf Information Security and Expo Conference (GISEC) ended on a high note on Wednesday, exceeding expectations and bringing together security professionals, companies and visitors from all over the region and the globe. The biggest event of its kind in the region provided the ideal platform for the best minds in the industry to discover cutting-edge solutions, share insights with industry experts and equip themselves with the right tools to protect their businesses from rapidly-evolving cyber attackers. On show were some brilliant hacking techniques, as well as industry-defining cyber security solutions. Concepts like threat intelligence, cyber exposure gap and security convergence were discussed at length as key decisions were made, networks established and the future of the security landscape in the region and beyond were thrown into the spotlight.
Held on the sidelines was the Future Blockchain summit that brought together government visionaries, start-ups, investors and brilliant disruptors to marry business sense with opportunity, setting the global Blockchain agenda. The UAE, which has been a trailblazer in this domain, has carved a niche for itself on the global IT map, pushing forward with its ambitious Dubai Blockchain Strategy, that will make Dubai the first city fully powered by Blockchain, by 2020.
