Palo Alto sets up new cyber security facility

Palo Alto Networks launched its new global Cyber Range initiativeproviding a permanent Cyber Range capabilities for its customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region, the company is working to build and improve effective skills for cybersecurity challenges today and in the future.

The Palo Alto Networks Cyber Range activity includes network simulations and cyberattack exercises that enable enterprise security professionals to build on their security skills, maturity, efficacy, communications and processes. The scenarios include both single and multi-vector attacks, which are continually updated to remain relevant to all participants and give them timely training on the very latest threats and most advanced real-world malware, such as ransomware.

Professionals can build on their understanding of today’s most advanced threats; improve their internal team communications and processes; and improve skills in identifying and preventing threats with real-time use of the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform.

The dedicated facility within Palo Alto Networks Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Amsterdam is the first Cyber Range location, with further launches planned for the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. The facility was officially opened today by Palo Alto Networks chairman and chief executive officer, Mark McLaughlin.

The Cyber Range is free of charge to customers who have completed a Palo Alto Networks Security Lifecycle Review. Additional permanent facilities are planned to open in selected Palo Alto Networks locations throughout 2018.
