Addressing needs of a growing security market

SecurityMEA speaks with Faisal Mohamed, General Manager of ScreenCheck on their participation at Intersec 2018 and the innovations that the company is bringing to its security solutions.

What motivated your organization to participate at Intersec?

Intersec is the most popular security exhibition in the region where we can meet all the world’s leading companies and potential buyers. We see Intersec as a platform where we can meet all our existing customers and resellers and to demonstrate our strengths across key verticals with our partners and network with industry professionals. There is no other platform such as this in the region where we can showcase the latest products and solutions in our portfolio to the market. Our focus is to increase our footprint to match the growing security market by providing a diverse range of products and solutions to our customers.

Are you participating directly or with any of your partners?

We are participating directly as a distributor for some of the leading brands in security, ID, biometrics and tracking. Being one of the leading identification and security partner in the region that offers end-to-end solutions in identification, biometrics, security and tracking services, ScreenCheck caters to various sectors including government, corporate, education, manufacturing, oil & gas and retail. Time and again, we have emerged as the number one distributor across the Middle East & Africa with more than 150 channel partners spread across 25 countries.

What do you expect to achieve with this participation?

Intersec provides an excellent opportunity for creating market awareness and the need to upgrade security measures. This is our opportunity to position our brand in the correct market as well as to reach out to potential customers and the right target audience. Every year there are a number of new additions to our product basket either as new products or additional features to existing products. The high number of international trade visitors clearly shows the unique added value you achieve as a brand when you showcase in Intersec.

How many times have you participated earlier at Intersec and what has been your experience in previous shows?

We have been one of the pioneers at Intersec and have participated almost every year. Our continuous participation indicates that as a brand we have been able to capitalise well. Intersec has paved the way for leading safety and security providers like us to access regional markets and facilitated many of the beneficial partnerships and relations over the years.

Which products or technologies will you be showcasing during the show? Please share the details.

This year we will be demonstrating key technological features integrating IOT and AI into facial recognition and biometrics. This advancement will cater industry requirements such as behaviour mapping, commercial mapping, retail mapping, office security, government security, airport security, temperature mapping, object missing and others. Also, advanced biometrics is being introduced into banking solution which will ease customer transactions.

Will you be scouting for new partners during the event or you will be focused only on end-users?

We have a channel network of more than 150 resellers spread across 25 countries in the region, however at every Intersec we get new partners each year. So, we will be focusing on both the factors.

What can visitors expect and why should they visit your stand?

At the ScreenCheck stand our focus will be on demonstrating  solutions rather than simply explaining product features. Especially this year with new innovations in the field of security solutions, visitors can discover cutting-edge innovations and developments, and see first-hand live interactive demonstrations. This will give them complete picture as to how beneficial our solutions are and how they can change the face of security.
