Security MEA speaks with Roland Daccache, Systems Engineer – MENA at Fidelis Cybersecurity about their plans for the upcoming GITEX Technology Week.
Is this your first time at GITEX Technology Week or have you participated before? If yes, what were your takeaways from last year’s event?
We’ve been participating in GITEX for the past few years. For the first time last year, we were proud to have our own dedicated stand, which gave us the opportunity to meet and network with so many prospects, contribute in some panel discussions and press briefings – as well as have awesome conversations with our customers. Overall, we look at GITEX as one of the most successful technology events in the Middle East.
Why did you choose to participate in GITEX Technology Week 2017?
Based on last year’s success we are excited to be taking part in GITEX 2017 as this provides a great opportunity to demonstrate how our automated detection and response platform can help Middle East enterprises achieve similar efficiencies and drastically improve their security posture in their fight against today’s ever evolving cyber-threats.
Do you have standalone presence at the event or will you be showcasing with your partner(s)? Can you give us details of your hall and booth at the event?
As we have over the past few years, we will have our own stand. We can be found in Hall 1, stand E1-30.
Can you elaborate on what you will be showcasing at GITEX Technology Week 2017?
The two pillars of the Elevate Platform are Fidelis Network and Fidelis Endpoint.
Fidelis Network stops modern threats that make it through the perimeter. It solves the problem of alert fatigue by automatically validating alerts and grouping related alerts together. Fidelis eliminates response and investigation back and forth with IT teams, with one-click investigations and built-in response automation from a single UX (user experience).
Fidelis Endpoint equips security organisations to confidently prevent, detect and respond to, and resolve security incidents in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional approaches. Purpose built to work hand in hand with Fidelis Network, Fidelis Endpoint automates incident response activities that normally take days or weeks.
What technology trends have you seen in the Middle East and Africa market?
If I were to sum up the two hottest topics in MENA this year, it would be cloud and security. Security headlines have been making the news and with so many vendor solutions available customers are anxious to find the right technology to address their security gaps.
I believe this year we will be hearing more about blockchain and digital currency adoption, but security is the constant topic that will remain hot for the coming years, that’s for sure.
Do you have any plans to launch any new products, solutions or technologies at GITX Technology Week this year?
Fidelis will be showcasing its new purpose-built platform, Fidelis Elevate that delivers automated detection and response across networks and endpoints.
Fidelis Elevate is the first fully automated compromise detection and response system designed to improve security operations. Engineered to provide unprecedented visibility across networks and endpoints working both in real-time and historically to detect and respond to an attack. Elevate is designed to automate the actions and insights of a skilled engineer and incident responder, to significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of a security team.
