Secureworks appoints Nader Baghdadi as the new Middle East Regional Sales Director

Secureworks has appointed Nader Baghdadi as its new Middle East Regional Sales Director, focusing on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

Baghdadi joins Secureworks from network security specialist Fortinet, where he served as Senior Regional Sales Director and was instrumental in delivering the organization’s regional year-on-year growth aspirations.

The appointment comes at an exciting time for Secureworks, with organizations in the region increasingly demanding flexible and robust cybersecurity solutions. Customers are looking to embrace digital transformation and tap into the benefits of innovations such as cloud computing, AI, Big Data, and edge computing. Security is paramount to supporting this development and organisations are looking for agile solutions which will support the ability to scale and simplify.

Baghdadi will lead the growth and development of Secureworks in the GCC and Middle East, with a focus on verticals including government, finance, education and energy. Baghdadi has 27 years’ experience in the Middle East’s security and IT industries. At Fortinet, Baghdadi was responsible for meeting the company’s year-on-year growth targets, new customer acquisition, and competitive displacement across markets including the UAE, Oman, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Prior to this, Baghdadi was Regional Director, MENA at Ruckus, where he established the company as the primary technology vendor for regional hospitality chains. Baghdadi has also held senior management roles at Motorola Solutions, Cisco and Netscreen Technologies.
